Wills
Regardless of whether you have a complex estate plan, a simple estate plan, or anything in between, a will can be beneficial to you and ensure that your wishes and plans for your estate are fulfilled. At Hofer Law, our experienced team is here to help you navigate the intricacies of wills and estate planning.
Trusts
A trust is another avenue for making sure your estate plan is seamlessly executed upon your passing. Beyond that, trusts can be implemented and used during your lifetime to carry out your plans and help you achieve your goals for the future. Hofer Law can assist you in setting up a trust tailored to your specific needs.
Powers of Attorney
Make sure your assets are still protected while you are alive. Powers of Attorney let you decide who can be in control of your assets in case you are unable to do so. Hofer Law can guide you through the process of establishing a Power of Attorney to ensure your wishes are respected.
Transfer on Death Instrument
Transfer on Death Instruments allow you to transfer your real estate upon your passing to the beneficiaries of your choosing. At Hofer Law, we can help you understand how these instruments work and how they can fit into your overall estate plan.

Probate
Probate is the formal act of administering the Estate in a court proceeding, often facilitated by the experienced team at Hofer Law. An Executor or Administrator is appointed and is issued Letters of Office from the court to manage the assets of the Estate.
NonProbate
It is not always necessary or legally required to probate an Estate in court. The small estate administration process, which can be efficiently handled by the Hofer Law Offices, involves locating the assets of the estate and providing the small estate administration tools that allow these assets to be administered without going through court proceedings.
Trust Administration
A trust can be created and funded during the Decedent's lifetime or in the Decedent's Will that is funded upon the Decedent's passing. This trust usually states what is to happen to all of the assets inside of the Decedent's Trust and appoints a Trustee to administer the assets of the Trust, often with assistance from Hofer Law for comprehensive support.

Real Estate Transactions and Closings at Hofer Law involve preparing and reviewing documents to facilitate the buying and selling of houses, commercial properties, farmland, and recreational land. This includes essential tasks such as drafting Contracts for Sale of Land, Deeds, Title Commitments for Title Insurance, and the Illinois Real Estate Transfer Declaration.
Additionally, our practice extends to Solar, Wind, and Cell Tower Easement and Lease agreements, where we review and negotiate lease agreements, easement agreements, amendments, and contracts for landowners, ensuring comprehensive support for all your real estate needs.
